Classic Macaroni Salad

**Ingredients:**


- 2 cups uncooked pasta

- 1 cup mayonnaise

- 2 tablespoons sweet relish

- 3/4 teaspoon dry ground mustard

- 1/4 teaspoon salt

- 1/8 teaspoon ground black pepper

- A pinch of paprika

- 3 liters water

- 1 1/2 teaspoons salt


**Instructions:**


1. **Cook the Pasta:**

   - In a saucepan, bring 3 liters of water to a boil. Add 1 1/2 teaspoons of salt.

   - Gradually add the dry pasta to the boiling water.

   - Boil the pasta for 6-8 minutes or until al dente.

   - Once cooked, drain the pasta well and rinse it with cold water. Drain again thoroughly.


2. **Prepare the Salad:**

   - In a medium bowl, mix together the cooked and cooled pasta, mayonnaise, chopped celery, chopped carrots, chopped boiled egg, chopped onion, sweet relish, dry ground mustard, salt, and pepper.

   - Stir until all the ingredients are well combined and the pasta is evenly coated with the dressing.


3. **Chill and Serve:**

   - Sprinkle a pinch of paprika over the top of the salad for added flavor and presentation.
