#### Ingredients:

- **For the Ribs:**

  - 2 pounds beef back ribs

  - 1 tablespoon salt

  - 1 tablespoon paprika

  - 1 tablespoon garlic powder

  - 1 tablespoon onion powder

  - 1 teaspoon black pepper

  - 1 teaspoon cayenne pepper (optional, for a bit of heat)

- **For the BBQ Sauce:**

  - 1 cup water

  - 1 cup ketchup

  - 1 (6 ounce) can tomato paste

  - 3/4 cup brown sugar

  - 1/2 cup vinegar

  - 2 tablespoons prepared mustard

  - 1 tablespoon salt

#### Preparation:

1. **Preheat the Oven:**

   - Preheat your oven to 300°F (150°C).

2. **Prepare the Ribs:**

   - In a small bowl, mix together the salt, paprika, garlic powder, onion powder, black pepper, and cayenne pepper.

   - Rub the spice mixture all over the ribs, ensuring they are well-coated.

3. **Cook the Ribs:**

   - Place the ribs on a baking sheet lined with aluminum foil. Cover the ribs tightly with another piece of aluminum foil.

   - Bake in the preheated oven for 2.5 to 3 hours, or until the ribs are tender and pull away from the bone easily.

4. **Prepare the BBQ Sauce:**

   - While the ribs are baking, prepare the BBQ sauce. In a medium saucepan, combine the water, ketchup, tomato paste, brown sugar, vinegar, mustard, and salt.

   - Bring to a boil over medium heat, then reduce the heat and let it simmer for about 20 minutes, stirring occasionally. Set aside.

5. **Baste and Broil:**

   - Once the ribs are done, remove them from the oven and carefully discard the top piece of foil.

   - Brush the ribs generously with the prepared BBQ sauce.

   - Set the oven to broil. Return the ribs to the oven and broil for about 5-7 minutes, or until the sauce is caramelized and sticky. Keep a close eye on them to prevent burning.

6. **Serve:**

   - Let the ribs rest for a few minutes before serving. Cut between the bones to separate the individual ribs.

   - Serve with additional BBQ sauce on the side if desired.
