These homemade KFC-style biscuits are a simple and delicious side dish that pairs perfectly with any meal. They are easy to make and can be enjoyed any time of the year!

#### Ingredients:

- 2 cups all-purpose flour

- 1 tablespoon baking powder

- 2 teaspoons granulated sugar

- ½ teaspoon cream of tartar

- ½ teaspoon salt

- ½ cup salted butter, chilled

- 2/3 cup milk

#### Instructions:

**1. Preheat Oven:**

   - Preheat your oven to 415°F (213°C).

   - Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.

**2. Prepare Dry Ingredients:**

   - In a medium mixing bowl, sift together the flour, baking powder, sugar, cream of tartar, and salt.

**3. Cut in the Butter:**

   - Cut the chilled butter into small pieces.

   - Using a pastry blender, your hands, or a knife and fork, cut the butter into the flour mixture until it resembles coarse crumbs.

**4. Add Milk and Form Dough:**

   - Pour in the milk and stir with a fork until the mixture comes together.

   - On a lightly floured surface, turn out the dough and knead gently until it is smooth.

**5. Roll and Cut Dough:**

   - Roll out the dough until it is about ½ inch thick.

   - Use a 3-inch biscuit cutter to cut out the biscuits. Alternatively, you can cut the dough into squares.

   - Gather the remaining dough, reform, roll out, and cut again until all the dough is used.

**6. Bake:**

   - Arrange the biscuit dough on the prepared baking sheet.

   - Bake in the preheated oven for 10-12 minutes, or until the biscuits have risen and are golden brown on top.

**7. Serve:**

   - Serve the biscuits immediately, or transfer them to a serving dish and set aside until ready to serve.

**8. Enjoy!**

   - These biscuits are best enjoyed warm, straight out of the oven.

### Tips:

- **Cold Butter:** Make sure your butter is cold when cutting it into the flour mixture. This helps create the flaky texture of the biscuits.

- **Don't Overwork the Dough:** Knead the dough just enough to bring it together. Overworking can result in tough biscuits.

- **Biscuit Cutter:** If you don't have a biscuit cutter, you can use a glass or any round object with a sharp edge.

These KFC-style biscuits are perfect for breakfast, lunch, or dinner. Enjoy them with butter, honey, or your favorite jam!
